My story

Hi, I'm Sara

I'm a 38-year-old female artist from the Midlands, just outside of Aarhus, Denmark. I work primarily with acrylic paint on canvas. I have a passion for painting atmospheric moments filled with thought, pleasure and strong emotions.

My art is shaped by my life, my feelings, and my family, all of which are neurodiverse and struggling with mental health, to varying degrees. I'm looking to capture the emotion through color, expression and mood.

To create art is both a profession, a passion and a form of therapy for me. Art gives me the strength to live and to grow.

My process

Color as emotion

Each painting begins with a mood — a moment, a color, a feeling that will out. I work intuitively and let the work find its own form.

I show and sell my art over the whole of Denmark in galleries and events, and occasionally internationally. If you are interested to see my art in person, please feel free to contact me to arrange a private viewing here in the Midlands or at home.
